Adventuring in Austin: South Congress

My first day in Austin, TX was absolutely wonderful!

We slept in a bit so our day started late (just how I like it). Once we were all dolled up we made our way to South Congress St (aka SoCo) which is lined with chic restaurants & beautiful, whimsical shops. After a little bit of window shopping we sat down for a posh as f*** lunch. We ate at an oyster & seafood bar called Perlas. They had “shells & cheese” that were made by Jesus Christ himself. I could’ve died after that meal & would have been content.

After our SoCo explorations we made our way to the UT campus so Savannah could show me around. We went to The Blanton Museum on campus. The artwork inside was ~out of this world~. They looked like things you could see in the Louvre. I was totally amazed at how ugly Renaissance babies were.

My first day was flawless. I am so excited for tomorrow (spoiler alert: WE ARE GOING SHOPPING).
